Capital Relations is run from Manchester, England by Coral Grainger.
Coral has 20 years experience of partnership development and project management in private, public and academic sectors – often translating and negotiating propositions from one sector to another.
As Greater Manchester’s ‘Innovation Activist’, Coral sparked fresh thinking and new ideas by developing online and offline networks, and providing valuable opportunities for collaboration and development of new business.
Business Models, Project Management and Delivery
With a professional background in Urban Regeneration, Coral has delivered capital and revenue programmes of all sizes, leveraging public and private finance. In addition to project and programme management, Coral’s experience and interest includes development of new business models. From 2004, Coral worked on the Inpartnership Model for financing large scale regeneration programmes (an innovative form of Public/Private Joint Venture which was adopted by Government ,and now known as LABV). Work at Capital Relations now includes development of models of creative collaboration and business growth, and financial solutions for the Freelance Economy.
A Sustainable Approach
Capital Relations specialise in the Creative, Digital and Technology sectors. A special interest in Clean tech is informed by Coral’s MSc in Environmental Planning and experience in the ’90s as one of the UK’s first Local Agenda 21 coordinators. Coral advises UMIC on the development of their Low Carbon Business Incubator in particular supporting the project team in relation to private sector engagement.
